Mr. Buck Batton, died Sunday, January 6, 2013 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center at the age of 65. Mr. Batton was born in Hoke County on December 30, 1947 to Horace Elbert Batton and Eva Mae Roberts Batton. Mr. Batton is survived by his daughter, Ann Charles of Raeford; three sons, Johnny Batton (Ellen) of Chesnee, SC, Neil Batton (Patsy Hunt) of Fairmont, William A. Batton of Carthage; sister, Virginia Willis of Raeford; brother, Howard Batton (Barbara) of Raeford; 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2013 at Crumpler Funeral Home, 131 Harris Ave, Raeford, NC, and other times at the home, 415 Midway Drive, Raeford, NC. Graveside memorial service will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Parker United Methodist Church Cemetery with Mr. David Schuchard officiating.
