

Mrs. Julia P. Sydnor daughter of the late Zinious B. Haynes and Emma D. Haynes-Prestwood, was born April 22, 1950 in Cumberland Co. North Carolina. She was united in holy matrimony to her late husband Mr. Daniel Douglas Gray, Sr. of Washington, DC. On the evening of Thursday, October 8, 2015, at her home, God, in his infinite wisdom quietly and gently whispered to Julia, that is was time for him to take her home for her well-deserved rest. Julia loved to play cards, take care of others,and to interact with all her family and friends. The best thing about her was, she was the most helpful and honest person in the world. Those left to cherish her memory are, three sons, Erwin Jules Sydnor, Zinious Lamont Sydnor, Daniel Gray, Jr., two daughters, Krystle Sydnor and Angel Sydnor, all of Fayetteville,five sisters, Ella Mae McMillian, Wilhemenia McNair of North Carolina, Hattie Ruth McNair, Ozella Medley both of Maryland, Sarah Doris Daniel of Louisiana, 2 brothers John E. Haynes of Maryland and Phillip Haynes of North Carolina, eight grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends, Mary of Sanford, NC; Josie Stephens of Hope Mills, NC; Cheryl Vasquez of Fayetteville, NC and Melanie and Martin Jenkins of North Carolina. A public viewing will be held 3-7 pm Friday, October 16, 2015 at LaFayette Funeral Home 6651 Raeford Road, Fayetteville. Funeral service will be 1pm Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church 515 Pittman Grove Church Road Raeford, NC.
