Larue Carroll Brock

Dateline: Raeford Mrs. Larue Carroll Brock of 782 Sanders Road died Monday, May 19, 2014 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center at the age of 77. Mrs. Brock was born in Hoke County on November 5, 1936 to the late Hunter and Ethel Jackson Carroll. She received her nursing degree from Sandhills Community College. A loving mother and grandmother, Mrs. Brock was dear to all that knew her. She was a member of Arran Lake Baptist Church in Fayetteville. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn B. Tillery of Houston, TX; her sons, Don Brock of Lake Waccamaw, Marion Brock and his wife Wanda of Raeford; her sister, Elaine Hendrix of Raeford; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Visitation will be between the hours of 12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 23, 2014 at Arran Lakes Baptist Church, 1130 Bingham Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28304. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at Arran Lake Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. Jeff Isenhour and the Reverend Ronnie Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Arran Lake Baptist Church, 1130 Bingham Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28304.
