Lawrence Elbert Andrews

Mr. Lawrence E. Andrews of 12501 Colinwood Circle, Laurinburg, formerly of Raeford, died Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at the age of 86. Mr. Andrews was born in Robeson County on April 20, 1924, to the late James Monroe Andrews and Lela Bass Andrews . He was preceded in death by his wives, Ruth C. Andrews and Edith I. Andrews and a son Edward Andrews. He was a member of East Laurinburg Church of God. Mr. Andrews was employed with Raeford Oil Company before he retired. Survivors include two sons: Jerry Andrews and his wife Jane of Raeford, Larry Andrews of Raeford, and a step-son Jason Flowers of Laurinburg; one daughter Darlene Garner of Raeford, and a step-daughter Diane Flowers of McColl, SC; 13 grandchildren: Lynn Quick, Venessa Guy, Jeff Andrews, Tilly Willis, Melinda Lewis, Patty Strickland, Priscilla Painter, Michele Auch, Eddie Garner, Patrick Garner, Westley Garner, Candi Garner, and Mandi Garner and 23 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held 7:00 until 9:00 pm Thursday evening at Crumpler Funeral Home in Raeford Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 6, 2010 at 3:00pm at the East Laurinburg Church of God with Reverend Jeff McGirt officiating, Burial will be in the Raeford Cemetery Memorials may be made to Hospice Foundation of Hoke County, PO Box 1584 Raeford, NC 28376
