Leon Wright Patterson

Mr. Leon Wright Patterson of Raeford passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst at the age of 87.Leon was born in Robeson County of April 15, 1932, to the late James and Cuma Wright Patterson. He was preceded in death by his son, Weaver Patterson, a sister, Brownie, two brothers, James and Don. He served in the US Army. He was a member of the Raeford Presbyterian Church. Leon retired from Burlington Industries and Hillcrest Fire Department as a volunteer.He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lavinia Wade Patterson of Raeford, NC; a son William Patterson and his wife Rachel of Raeford, NC; three grandchildren, Kimberly Patterson, Joe Patterson and Danielle Craven all of Raeford, NC; a great granddaughter, Kayleigh Donn-Patterson of Raeford, NC; two sisters, Mildred Dickens of Maxton, NC and Jean Brandsley and her husband James of Ohio; a sister-in-law, Peggy Patterson of Maxton, NC.A visitation will be held 11:00 until 12:00 noon Saturday February 29, 2020 at Crumpler Funeral Home 131 Harris Ave., Raeford.A graveside service will be held 12:00 noon Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the Raeford Cemetery Memorials may be made to; Raeford Presbyterian Church, Building Fund, P.O.
