She was born in New Hanover County, NC on July 07, 1945, to the late Lynn and Catherine Dees.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Brown Hendrix, Jr.; and her brother in law, Donald King.
Lynda enjoyed traveling in her motor home and being at the beach. She loved spending time with her granddaughters.
She is survived by her son, Samuel Brown Hendrix, III “Sammy”, and his wife, Susan; her three granddaughters, Kayla Hendrix, Emily Hendrix, and Samantha Hendrix; and her sister, Ann D. King.
In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Sandy Grove Church, Hope Springs Assisted Living of Red Springs, and Hospice of Scotland County.
A visitation will be held at Sandy Grove Church on Sunday, August 09, 2026 from 2:00-2:45 pm.
A service will follow at 3:00 pm with Rev. Dr. Jimmy Dees officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Crumpler Funeral Home.
