Martha Moody Hawks

Dateline: Red Springs Mrs. Martha M. Hawks, of Fayetteville, died Wednesday, September 3, 2014 in her home, at the age of 81. Mrs. Hawks was born in Red Springs on December 25, 1932, to the late Charles and Flora Elizabeth (Fodie) Moody. She is preceded in death by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Elizabeth (Liz) Culbreth, granddaughter Marsha Culbreth and four siblings. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Mrs. Hawks is survived by her son ,Mark Culbreth and his partner Donnie Porter of Red Springs; a daughter-in-law, Susanne Anderson of Fayetteville, five grandchildren, Tina Fields, Angie McNeill,Tracy Culbreth of Red Springs, Alexis Dill of Clarksville TN and Kaela Culbreth of Fayetteville,NC;15 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren, and her sister Naomi Johnson of St. Pauls. Visitation will be 7:00pm-9:00pm Friday, September 5, 2014 at Crumpler Funeral Home 220 East 4th Ave. Red Springs. Funeral service will be 2:00pm Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Crumpler Funeral Home Chapel 220 East 4th Ave. Red Springs, NC with the Reverend Charles Davis officiating. Burial will be in Alloway Cemetery.
