He is preceded in death by his parents, Yvette and Donald Morgan.
Michael proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1967 – 1987. During his military career, he was stationed in places like Morocco, North Africa, Yokosuka, Japan, South Pole, Antarctica, Fort Totten (Queens), New York, and Charleston, South Carolina.
Michael loved family, bowling, fishing, and restoring Lionel trains. He also loved to laugh. We will always remember his “dad jokes” during our times of fellowship.
Cherishing his precious memories are his wife of almost 59 years, Suzie; daughter, Denise (Adrian) Hobbs; grandchildren, Adrian (Amonti) Hobbs Jr, Jalisa (Jordan) Hill, Joshua Hobbs, Caleb Hobbs; and great grandchildren, Kylie Hill, Julian Hill, Aloura Hobbs, and Ashton Hobbs.
Michael will be truly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him; additionally, we take great comfort in knowing that since departing from his earthly body, he is no longer suffering, but instead is present with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, rejoicing in His presence forevermore.
Burial and Military Honors will be held at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, 8220 Bragg Blvd, Spring Lake, NC 28390, on July 31, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
Services are entrusted to Crumpler Funeral Home.
