Dateline: Raeford Mrs. Molene Hill Russell of Raeford died Friday, January 23, 2015 at the age of 93. Mrs. Russell was born July 7, 1921 in Scott County, AR,to the late Joe and Bertha Hendrick Hill. She was a member of the Raeford United Methodist Church and was employed with the House of Raeford in human resources. Mrs. Russell was the oldest of 9 children. Mrs. Russell was preceded in death by her husband Vance Hinton Russell. Mrs. Russell is survived by 3 sons, Jerry Russell and his wife Kim of Raeford, Mike Russell and his wife (Vicki) of Wilmington, NC; Norman Snellgrove and his wife Julia of Fayetteville,NC; 3 daughters, Wynona Fleishman and her husband Stuart of Myrtle Beach, SC; Lawanna Hayes of Raeford, NC; Judie Peters and her husband Wayne of Fayetteville, NC; 6 siblings, 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held 2:00pm Sunday, January 25,2015 at Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery with the Reverend Dr. Stephen Castle officiating. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Raeford United Methodist Church Scholarship Fund 308 North Main Street, Raeford, NC 28376 or to the charity of your choice.
