Monnie Mae Glass Mooneyham

Dateline: Raeford Monnie Mae Glass Mooneyham, 95, passed away May 19, 2015 at the home of her daughter, in Raeford, NC, where she resided during the year prior to her death. She was, however, a lifelong resident of Mount Carmel, TN. Ms. Mooneyham was born February 10, 1920 in Stickleyville, VA; to the late William Jerome Glass and Addie Carter Glass. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Franklin Mooneyham and her daughter, Rebecca "Becky" Pierce Juarez. Ms. Mooneyham is survived by her daughter, Rhenda Pierce Cameron and her husband Bill of Raeford, NC; her son George Earl Pierce III and his wife Jan of Mount Carmel,TN. Four grandchildren: Candace Cameron Brock and her husband Billy of Raeford, NC; Bill Cameron III and his wife Monica of Salisbury, NC; Cassandra Pierce Butler and her husband Brandon of Duffield, VA; Melinda Paige Pierce of Clinton, TN. Three great-grandchildren: Rebecca Susanne Brock and William Hind Brock III of Raeford, NC; Grant William Cameron of Salisbury,NC. One step-daughter, Paulette Mooneyham Clayman and her husband Ed of Houston, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 2:00pm Sunday, May 24,2015 at Oak Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, 800 Truxton Drive Kingsport, TN; officiated by Pastor Ron Cassidy of Howes Chapel in Rogersville, TN. The family wishes to express gratitude to FirstHealth Hospice and Palliative Care of Pinehurst, NC for their professional and personal support services and to Revonda Chavis of Raeford for her loving dedication and loyalty, in assisting with the care of Ms. Mooneyham during her illness.
