Norman Lenzy White

Mr. Norman Lenzy White of Raeford passed away November 30, 2020 at the age of 88.Mr. White was born November 29, 1932 in Fulton County Arkansas to the late Fred Lenzy White and Effie Ellington White. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. While in Korea he was a machine gunner where he was injured by a mortar round and lost his eye. He was awarded the purple heart and a lifetime member of the VFW in Raeford. Mr. White was active in and received a 25-year certificate as a member of the Red Spring Masonic Lodge 501, where he was awarded Mason of the year in 2004, was Past Master in 2009, and later joined the Raeford Masonic Lodge # 306. He is survived by his wife Louise McDowell White of Raeford, a special stepdaughter, Gail M. Beasley (Larry) of Sanford, and stepdaughter Shirley Obenauf (Marv) of ID; a stepson Ray Quick (Frances) of Raeford.A graveside memorial service with full military honors will be held 1:00pm Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Alloway Cemetery in Red Springs, NC.Services have been entrusted to Crumpler Funeral Home of Raeford.Online condolences may be made at www.crumplerfuneralhome.com
