Mrs. Thomas was born in Alexandria, VA on February 25, 1947 to the late Jesse and Mary Sprouse. She was employed as the support manager for Morale Welfare Recreation in Fort Bragg. She was a member of the Raeford First Baptist Church. Survivors are her husband Albert Goetz of Seubersdorf, Germany; 4 sons John Brown of Burke VA, Jesse Brown of Germany; Howard Ryals of Raeford; and Timothy Thomas of Raeford; 4 grandchildren Melissa Thomas, Jonathan Brown, Ashley Thorpe and Ethan Thomas, 2 brothers Richard Sprouse of Stevens City, VA and John Sprouse of Raeford. Visitation will be held 7-9 pm Monday July 8, 2013 at Crumpler Funeral Home 131 Harris Ave Raeford. A graveside memorial service will be held later in Alexandria VA.
