Patricia Pat Allen Wilson

Patricia Allen Wilson, 76, of Raeford, died Thursday, December 10, 2015. Pat was born May 19, 1939 in DeRoche Township, Hot Spring County, Arkansas ,to the late Arvilee and Margie Sanders Allen. She is preceded in death by 4 siblings. Though Pat never forgot her Arkansas roots, she loved her adopted home of Raeford and served as editor of Raeford News Journal for many years. She worked for many years with The Hoke County Coalition Against Homelessness. She continued to work as a freelance journalist until her death. She is survived by 3 sons, Thomas C. Wilson (Catherine) of Lithia, Florida; Cary A. Wilson of Raeford, NC; James A. Wilson ( Lynn Paluga) of Raeford, NC, and her daughter, Jeanne Wilson Dees (Dale) of Fayetteville, NC, a brother, Stanley Allen ( Arlene) of Texas, 3 grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 3:00pm Sunday, December 13, 2015, at Crumpler Funeral Home Chapel ,131 Harris Ave. Raeford, NC., with Pastor Vernon Livingston officiating. In lieu of flowers,memorials may be mad to The Arthritis Foundation or Alley Cat Allies.
