It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a truly hardworking and devoted man whose life was defined by loyalty, perseverance, and love for the people around him; Ronnie Butler. He was the kind of man who never sat still for long — if he wasn’t working, he was out in the garage tinkering on a project, fixing something with his hands, or finding a new way to help someone else. His work ethic was unmatched, and he carried quiet pride in providing for those he loved.
He found peace in the simple things in life: early mornings by the water with a fishing pole in hand, the sound of classic country music playing in the background, and the satisfaction of turning hard work into something meaningful. Whether he was casting a line, turning a wrench, or singing along to his favorite songs, he brought heart and authenticity into everything he did.
More than anything, he loved his family. He leaves behind his loving mother Fay Butler; his cherished son (Travis Butler) and daughter (Brittney Butler); three brothers; (Sammy Butler, Bruce Butler, Roger Butler) and one sister (Tammy Burton), along with many extended family members and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. He was a man people could count on — dependable, stubborn in the best ways, and always willing to lend a hand when someone needed him.
Though his absence leaves an immeasurable void, the lessons he taught through his actions — to work hard, love deeply, and appreciate life’s simple moments — will continue to live on through those who knew him. He will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever loved.
A Visitation will be held at Crumpler Funeral Home on May 29, 2026, from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm, followed by a Funeral Service beginning at 5:30 pm with burial afterwards in the Raeford City Cemetery.
