Dateline: Raeford Mrs. Sandra Conover Christensen of Raeford, died September 8, 2015 at the age of 76. Mrs. Christensen was born in Philadelphia, PA., July 14, 1939, to the late Raymond Conover and Kathry Pikunas Conover. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Lauren Hornsby. Mrs. Christensen was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church. Mrs. Christensen is survived by her son Leslie E. Hornsby and wife Laura of Columbus, GA; 2 daughters Darla H. Meredith and husband Michael of Parkland, FL; Tonya H. Morris of Aberdeen, her sister Linda C. Hoffmeier of Fort Lauderdale, FL; and 4 grandchildren, Gabriel, Lindley, Ethan, and Mitchell. A memorial service will be held 10:00 am Saturday, September 12, 2015 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, 6199 Fayetteville Road, Raeford, NC. A visitation will be held after the service at the church. Mrs. Christensen was a great lover of animals. Memorials may be made to a local human society or animal shelter.
