

Ms. Sarah F. Butler of Aberdeen died Friday, April 15, 2016 in FirstHealth Moore Regional at the age of 68. Ms. Butler was born in Moore County on May 11, 1947 to the late James Archie Ferguson and Nellie Belle Lewis Ferguson. She was preceded in death by her sister, Nellie Joyce Ferguson and great granddaughter Megan McKnight. She leaves behind to cherish her memory Gerald Coker; and her daughters Tammy Hinesley (John Paschal) of Aberdeen, and Frances 'Kaye' South (Mike) of West Monroe, LA; and stepchildren Jennifer Jones (Kyle) and John Coker (Jill) both of Deer Creek, MN. Grandchildren Brandy Campbell (Jason), Rachel Brandon (Patrick), Samantha Hinesley (Dustin), Joan Juneau (Kevin), Joshua Juneau, Matt McKnight (Shelby), Melanie McKnight (Abby), Lily Coker and 17 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters, Patricia Truslow of Aberdeen, Marie Frye (Jerry) of Carthage, Darlene Streckfus (Jim) of Pinebluff, Teri Boeger (Russell) of Pinebluff, Cathy Yow of Cameron; her brother, James Mullinix (Mary) of Texas; and her step-brother Johnny Williamson of Pinebluff. Sarah was a professional seamstress. She spent many years making or repairing clothing and other items both privately and for Carter's Cleaners and later Keith's Cleaners. She decided to change careers and spent almost 15 years employed at First Health Moore Regional Hospital before becoming unable to continue working. She enjoyed fishing, dancing, gardening among many other interests. She enjoyed talking to people and would always give her honest advice to anyone. She truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, snacking, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an amazing woman, companion, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend that will be truly missed. A memorial service and celebration of Sarahs life will be held Thursday, April 21st at Crumpler Funeral Home, 40229 US 1 Hwy in Aberdeen between the hours of 5:30 and 7:30 pm. There will be a memorial tree service held May 14th at the home located at 2061 Roseland Rd with the time being set at a later date.
