Mrs. Shirley Ann Anderson, age 76, formerly of Red Springs, died Thursday, April 7, 2011 at her home. Mrs. Anderson was born in Guilford County on February 7, 1935 to the late Lacy and Ella Ward Fields. Her husband, Charles Anderson, preceded her in death. Survivors are, one son, Michael Charles Anderson and his wife Samantha of Laurinburg, NC; two daughters, Sheila Joy Sawyer and her husband Willie of Sharpsburg, GA, and Sandra C. Axtell and her husband Gary of Orange City, FL; eleven grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. Visitaion will be held 7:00 until 9:00pm, Monday, April 11, 2011 at Crumpler Funeral Home, 220 East 4th Avenue, Red Springs. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Crumpler Funeral Home with Pastor Clifton Jarvis officiating. Burial will be 2:00pm Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Sandhills State Veterens Cemetery in Spring Lake.
