Thomas Evin Brooks, formerly of Raeford, died Saturday, May 12, 2012 in the Dallas Texas VA Hospital at the age of 73. Mr. Brooks was born in Guilford County on February 1, 1939 to the late, Edgar Ray Brooks and Betty Sue Brooks Stanley. He is survived by one daughter, Brenda S. Brooks Arriaga of Whitney, TX; four grandchildren, Artamio Arriaga, Whitney, TX; Amanda Arriaga of Granview, TX; Nia Arriaga, of Grandview, TX; Kayla Arriaga of Victoria, TX; seven great grandchildren; a brother, Bobby Brooks and his wife Jeanette of Salisbury, NC; a sister, Linda Brooks Martin and husband, Jimmy of Lumberton, NC. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 18, 2012 at Crumpler Funeral Home, 131 Harris Ave, Raeford, NC 28376. Graveside service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, May 18, 2012 in the Raeford Cemetery with the Reverend David Hollaway.
