Vardelle Locklear

Mr. Vardelle Locklear died Sunday, June 27, 2010 at the age of 71. Mr. Locklear was a member of Raeford Christian Center Assembly of God. He was preceded in death by his father, Loftin Locklear and mother, Rosie Jones Locklear. Survivors include two sons: Shawn Locklear of Pennsylvania and Andy Locklear of Texas; two daughters: Robin Locklear and Jennifer Locklear, both of Fayetteville; two brothers: Loftin Locklear, Jr and Ervin Locklear, both of St. Pauls; six sisters: Mildred Oxendine of Red Springs, Catherine Carrols, Agnes Carpenter, and Shirley Locklear, all of St. Pauls, Christine Lugo of Hope Mills, and Gearline Locklear of Pembroke; several grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends between the hours of 7:00 and 9:00 pm, Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at Crumpler Funeral Home, 220 East 4th Avenue, Red Springs, NC 28377. Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at Raeford Christian Center Assembly of God, 1511 Red Springs Road, Raeford, NC 28376 with Reverend Kenneth Locklear and Reverend Agnes Pierce officiating. Burial will be in Preston Family Cemetery in Maxton, NC.
