

Alexander Kenneth Davis, age 36, of Raleigh, NC passed away Saturday morning Oct 18th at home. He is survived by his Mother, Kay F Davis and his Father, Kenneth A Davis (Whitney) and his Brothers, Ryan C Davis (Ashlee) and Tyler M Davis (Irene) and his nephews, Jack and Teddy and his nieces, Ella and Ava.
Alex grew up in Raleigh attending Lynn Rd Elementary, Carroll Middle, and Sanderson High School. Alex’s passion was baseball played in the North Wake Baseball League and Sanderson. His 12 year old Bronco League team went to the International World Series in Monterey, Ca finishing 3rd behind Korea and Hawaii. His Sanderson senior team went to the State Playoffs and he was recognized as the Capital 8 pitcher of the year. Alex and many of his high school teammates went on to play together in many years of organized Raleigh wood-bat league baseball. Alex’s premier skill was his pitching - What a wonderful site to see Alex pinpoint that inside curveball for a strikeout! Alex graduated from East Carolina University in Construction Management where he also played club baseball.
Alex worked primarily as an independent contractor in construction and landscaping projects. He also worked retail and recently served at Olive Garden. He loved spending time with his friends, fishing, golfing, and video gaming. He was excited to be part of his brother Tyler’s Gaston Lake land development project. While living at Lake Lynn apartments, he saw a lady swimming out to rescue her dog in the middle of the lake and she started drowning. He jumped in and rescued her and her dog. He loved playing with his nieces and nephews surviving relentless teasing and pranks. His heart was huge and he loved working with people and making friends of all ages. His smile and giggle showed how kind and friendly he was, Everyone loved Alex!
A private family graveside service will be held at Raleigh Memorial Park. A Celebration of Life for Alex will be held on Saturday, November 1st, 2025 from 1pm-4pm at Brier Creek Country Club, 9400 Club Hill Dr, Raleigh, NC 27617.
