She graduated from Winthrop College, with an education degree. She had a lifelong career as an elementary school teacher in Wake County.
Anita was the Daughter of Henry & Susan DaVega. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ellen Shelly, Charleston, SC.
She is survived by her Siblings: Sister, Susan Gibbins, Aniston, Ala, and brother Michael DaVega of Blythwood, SC.; married to T.C. Rownd , 3 children: daughter Allison Warner, Chapel Hill, NC, son Spencer Rownd, Wilmington, NC, son Carter Rownd, Chapin, SC.
A Funeral Service for Anita will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2026 at 2:00pm at North Raleigh Presbyterian Church, 11905 Strickland Road, Raleigh, NC 27613.
