Anne Tattoli Burks passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Sunrise Senior Living in Raleigh, NC on September 4, 2023. Born to the late, Frank and Rose Tattoli in Flushing, New York on October 29, 1945.
She is preceded by her parents and brother Frank Tattoli Jr.
She is survived by her children Lisa (David), Aaron (Jamie); and her grandchildren, Christopher, Carrigan, Ryan, Tyler and Sarah. Her husband Rodney Burks and stepdaughter Kimberly Murphy.
She grew up in San Diego, California where she met both of her husbands. Her first brought her to North Carolina where they raised their two children. She moved back to San Diego to care for her mother and met her second husband Rocky. They loved to travel. Some of their favorite places were Maui, New Zealand, South Africa, Italy, Tahiti, Mexico and Costa Rica.
Anne spent much of her time traveling to the east coast to spend time with her family. She was a huge presence in all their lives. She rarely missed a birthday, holiday, graduation and special event.
Anne had an artistic flair about her and showed it in her love to paint and recreate her memories of her travels and also in the way she dressed. Whether it be for a night on the town or her trips to Walmart - which still might be found somewhere on YouTube videos. Anne loved to laugh but more so, she loved to make other people laugh. She will truly be missed by those who knew and loved her.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers, can be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
The family would like to thank Sunrise Senior Living in Raleigh. The care and love shown to her and her family during this difficult time is greatly appreciated.
Service arrangements provided by Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 300 Saint Mary's St., Raleigh, NC.
