A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 27 at 11:00 am at Mitchell Funeral Home at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7209 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27612. Interment will follow the service at Raleigh Memorial Park.
Mrs. Kirby is survived by her daughter, Karen Lynn Walsh and husband, Bobby of West Point, VA; son David Alan Kirby of Sanford, NC; three grandchildren, Ashley Lynne, Ryan Joseph, and Robert James Walsh III; one sister, Dorothy Didlake of Richmond, VA; one brother-in-law, William M. Kirby and wife Gloria of Danville, VA; and and 15 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Ned Gerald Kirby, her parents Raymond I. and Mary Elizabeth Didlake; and sister Gertrude Stephens.
The family will receive friends 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ridge Road Baptist Church.
