Annie Mae Yates, 87, passed away on May 9, 2011. Born in Wake County of May 14, 1923; she was the daughter of the late Tobe Bryant and Annie Dew Poole; wife of the late John W. Yates and mother of the late Bobby Ray and Henry Thomas Yates.
She is survived by her children: Charles Yates, John William Yates, Jr., Ann Quinn, Eunice Williams, and Barbara Freeman; 13 grandchildren; 26 great and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation on Thursday, May 12, 2011 from 1-2 PM at Mitchell Funeral Home, with graveside services at 2 PM at Raleigh Memorial Park.
