Arenda Wright Wright Lancaster

She was the daughter of William Lyon Wright and Ruby E. Wright of Raleigh, NC.

Predeceased by her husband, Joe, of 68 years and her son Henley, she is survived by her son, Sam and his wife, Mary, of Cary NC; grandchildren Rob Greene of Greensboro, Kelly and husband, Brian Penninger of Concord, NC , and Lisa Greene of Chapel Hill, NC; 2 great grandchildren; her sister, Arlene and husband, Denny Zelnar: nieces, Arenda and husband, Paul Baldwin, Florence and husband, Jack Stone, Diane and husband, Chuck Horne; and nephews Clifton and wife, Reta Wright and Jimmy Wright; cousins, Billly Ann and husband, Gary Owens and DeWitt and wife, Dolores Perry.

She graduated from Hugh Morrison High School in 1943 and married Joe shortly thereafter. Together they founded Raleigh Typewriter Exchange in 1953 where she remained active in the business until it was sold in 2003. Arenda was also a valued charter member of Temple Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC.

Funeral services will be held 2PM Saturday June 29 at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Avenue. Interment will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 1PM.
