Art Bond, 94, of Raleigh gracefully passed away on Monday, July 4, 2016 at Rex Hospital. He served 21 years in the US Army and was a veteran of WWII and the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Alice Miller Bond of Fuquay-Varina; 3 children, Douglas Bond of Raleigh, Jay Bond of Milton, FL and Marguerite Bond of Cary, NC; 4 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, and 8 great- grandchildren; and his sister, Dorothy Noecker, of Hartington, NE.
His family would especially like to thank Art’s nurses, medical technicians and aides at Windsor Pointe in Fuquay-Varina, NC.
A private interment service with full military honors will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Raleigh.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a U.S. Veterans charity of one’s choice.
