Barbara LaVerne Turner Berry

Mrs. Barbara LaVerne Turner Berry, 83, of Raleigh, N.C. passed away on September 11, 2012 at Springmoor Retirement Community – Stewart Health Center. She was born November 18, 1928 in Greensboro, N.C., daughter of Arthur Neal Turner and Lucille Gallimore Turner of Reidsville, N.C.

Mrs. Berry attended James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va. And was a graduate of N.C. Baptist Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member and elder of St. Giles Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include daughters, Margaret Ellen Berry of Raleigh, Barbara Ann Beasley of Wake Forest; son and daughter-in-law, Richard Neal Berry and Renee Henri Berry of Elkhorn, NE; three grandchildren, Kaitlin Ann Davis of Madison, WI; Richard Paul Perry of Franklinton, NC; and Dominic Holmes of Omaha, NE. Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Noah Lee Perry of Franklinton, NC, and Nico and Zoey Holmes of Omaha, NE, as well as many dearly-loved friends.

Mrs. Berry was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lovell Berry in 1997.

Mrs. Berry has requested that there be no funeral or memorial service. She will be entombed at Raleigh Memorial Park.

The family wishes to extend our deepest gratitude to the wonderful staff at Springmoor Retirement Center and the Stewart Health Center, as well as to our mother’s many loving friends.
