Barbara was a neighbor and friend and a very dear and special person. She was a pillar in the community.  The world is a better place for her having been in it.  We are blessed to have known her and been friends. We shall, as we know will a great many, miss her.  Our hearts and prayers go out to her family.

I am so sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in family, friends and prayer (Psalm 65:2) during this difficult time.

Barbara gave me my 2nd radio job over 20 years ago.  She told me once that she hired me because I didn't give up, I was very persistent, and reminded her of herself.  I worked at Key 103 for several years in many different jobs, and I thank Barbara for all the opportunities she gave me.  Many thoughts and prayers are with you all.

To the Marmet Family,
I met Barbara in 1990 in a empty shopping center space in Braddock Heights MD, where she introduced me to her soon to be launched dream, WAFY. I was skeptical of success in such a competitive field, but obviously I did not know how smart and tenacious she was. Over the years I was proud to provide insurance for WAFY, proud to watch it grow and succeed, but most important was the great friendship that I developed with Barbara, and Bob over those years. 

It was a privilege and honor to know Barbara and I know she will be missed by all. I hope your memories and support of family and friends help you through this most difficult time.
