Benjamin Karl Haignere decided to leave this earth on January 8, 2026, aged 48, leaving behind a profound absence in the lives of those who knew and loved him. While his death came far too soon, Ben’s life was marked by connection, charisma and creativity, resulting in stories that will be told for years to come.
Ben was a devoted father to his two children, Graycyn and Lincoln, who meant everything to him and will forever carry his spirit forward. He is survived by his parents, Mary Kay and Rodney Olson, and Gene and Denise Haignere; his siblings, Franklin Haignere (Robyn), Andrew Haignere, Troy Olson (Tonia), Devon Olson (Chauntel), Shawna Olson Smith, and Sara Olson, along with many nephews and nieces.
He is also lovingly remembered by Victoria Kanywa the mother of his children, Becky Goodell, and Meredith McConnell, each of whom shared meaningful chapters of his life, as well as many friends and extended family in California, North Carolina, North Dakota and beyond.
Ben was an animal lover, a jack of all trades builder, had the greenest thumb when it came to landscaping, and was always on the lookout for a deal on something for his next big project. He had a charismatic presence and was someone who drew people in effortlessly and left a lasting impression wherever he went. His adventures and exploits were the stuff of legend, and his stories, laughter, and larger-than-life energy will continue to live on in the memories of friends and family alike.
Though his life ended too soon, Ben’s legacy is one of unforgettable moments. He will be deeply missed and always remembered.
