1913 – 2013
Bertha Glover Lewis, 99, a long time resident of Gaston County, died Oct. 7, 2013, in Raleigh Rehabilitation Center of Raleigh.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph E. Lewis.
Mrs. Lewis, born Nov. 5, 1913, in Gastonia, was the daughter of the late James Glover and Margaret Waters Glover.
She survived by her daughters, Jean Lewis of Raleigh; Susie Dorsey of Williamsburg, VA.; grandson, Alan Dorsey and his wife Michele of Knightdale, N. C., and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1p.m. Saturday at Sandy Plains Baptist Church, 5323 Union Road, Gastonia, with the Rev. Steve Hensley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
