Bobbie was born in North Augusta, SC, on August 31, 1932, during the Great Depression and attended North Augusta High School.
Bobbie lived a beautiful life and gave so much love to all of her family and friends. Family was her focus, and she excelled at raising her three children and was a devoted wife to Raymond. She was a beautiful woman on the inside and outside. Although she did not attend college, she was an exceptional student in high school. Bobbie was an astute “business manager” for the family, taking excellent care of all the finances and other matters with a positive joyous attitude.
Bobbie was a devout Christian and espoused her beliefs through her actions throughout her life and passed on her strong morals to her children. She once met an elderly lady that had no family or anyone to lean on and took her under her wing for many years providing love, companionship and support. She was also a loving friend to many of her neighbors. Bobbie was the glue that kept all her children connected to all of our relatives (cousins, aunts, and uncles) in South Carolina, too. She loved her travels throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe with Raymond after he retired, often with her sister Eloise and best friends Dott and Hunter Henry. She had a special place in her heart for all of her grandchildren with some of them living with her and Papa for several weeks at a time.
Bobbie was extremely gifted and talented with sewing, needlepoint and cross-stitch making numerous beautiful tablecloths and pictures, using her skill and gifted them to family members. The patience required for this craft exemplified her undying persistence in completing even the smallest of tasks throughout her life with precision. Bobbie was known for her delicious Sunday after-church dinners. She was a strong-willed woman, yet tender at the same time. Even when her children made mistakes, she was always there being supportive and having faith of the good to come. Her kindness and concern for others serve as a shining example for all her family and friends.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Thornton Weeks and Estelle Whitlock Weeks, husband Raymond Powell Boylston, Jr, sisters Eloise Weeks Johnson and Jane Rice, brothers Bill Weeks and Lewellyn Weeks. She is survived by her daughter, Jennie Boylston Hinson (Gerald), and her sons Brooks M. Boylston (Dianne) and Raymond S. Boylston (Leigh), grandchildren Brooks O. Boylston, Christy B. Moore, Christopher Hinson, Adam Hinson, Zachary Boylston, Mitch Boylston, Sam Boylston, in addition to 8 great grandchildren, and numerous cherished nieces and nephews.
