Scott has a special place in my heart.  I taught him in eighth grade!  I am praying for you all!

We knew Scott through his brother Chad. We all looked up to him as as a person in general. He was always a great guy and was known to be a great father. I know he will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Scott was such a great big brother to Chad. He made us all want a big brother just like him. He was truly someone to look up to. Scott will be missed. "Birds sing after a storm; why shouldn't people feel as free to delight in whatever remains to them?" Let's rejoice with his memory. That and his family is what we have left of Scott. That is how he shall live on. Through us.

I met Scott when we were in 3rd grade. We attended Brentwood Elementary, East Millbrook & graduated from Millbrook together. We grew up in the same neighborhood, he played football for our neighborhood team that I cheered for.  I feel very fortunate to have been able to consider him one of my best childhood friends.  Everyday at recess in 3rd grade, we played this game that a mutual friend made up...we all had imaginary names, his was "Scotchy Roach".  It makes me very sad that we lost touch after high school.  I am thankful however, of the many, many years of memories I am able to hold close in my heart because your dad was my friend for so many years. As he got older, he delivered a paper called the "Ad Pak" in our neighborhood, he would always stop and visit. I'm not sure he ever did finish his route on time!   May his smile and love of life I remember him having all the way from an 8 year old 3rd grade boy to a 17 year old senior in high school shine forever in each of you, Cody & Gracie.  

And to my friend..Rest in Peace Scott, ..I am incredibly blessed to have known you & have you as my friends for so many formidable years, when best friends are hard to find!

I'm so very sorry for your loss.  Capt. Nipper was such a kind and gracious person and an asset to downtown Raleigh.  He will be missed by so many people for his smile, his leadership and his pride in his job.  You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Remember the Nipper family from days at Grey Stone Durham.  Will continue to pray for you in the days ahead.

There are so many warm, loving memories of our boys growing up together that we will cherish forever.  My thoughts and prayers are with each of you.

Scott was someone I only got to know for a short amount of time, but made a lasting impression.  He seemed to always want those around him to be their best.  Having Cody on our baseball team gave me the opportunity to get to know him and his family.  Scott was one that would always do anything asked of him and  willing to lend a hand.  Scott you will forever be remembered, forever be missed and reflected in the lives of your children.  A man is remembered for the lives he has touched, which has been many,    may God be with your family and bless them in this time.

Amy and kids,  I remember Scott from different projects at Grey Stone.  Scott was always ready to help with a willing spirit and a great smile. I also remember observing Scott's love and commitment for both Cody and Gracie.  What a man of integrity.  My prayers are with all of you.

Scott was a great father and often came to school to eat lunch with Gracie.  He always greeted me with a smile and it excited Gracie so much for her Dad to come.  You and your family will be in my prayers for the weeks to come.
