Charlie R. Campbell

Charles grew up in New Paltz, NY. He volunteered with the New Paltz Fire and Rescue Squad, where he met the love of his life, Kathleen. Charlie loved to watch his son play baseball and to watch his daughter dance. He was a true people person and never met a stranger. He is lovingly remembered by his dear wife, Kathy, his son Ryan Francis, and his daughter Colleen Alanna, Sister Leslie Howard, her husband Gordon; brother, John Campbell of Charlotte, and many friends in Raleigh and in New York.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday April 29, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Mitchell Funeral Home with a graveside to follow at Brier Creek Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a scholarship fund for Charlie’s children, Ryan and Colleen.
