Christine DaCanal-Valenti

She was born August 5, 1958, in St. Marys, PA, daughter of John and Helen DaCanal. Chris grew up in the area and was a graduate of Elk County Christian High School, Class of 1976.

Chris went on to become an MRI Technologist, graduating from Mercy Hospital School of Radiologic Technology in Altoona, PA, and University of Miami, MRI Center, in Miami, FL. She had a successful career spanning for more than three decades.

On August 22, 1992, in Queen of the World Church, Chris married Mike Valenti, who survives. They were blessed with 29 years of marriage together.

She is also survived by one daughter: Gabby Valenti, of Durham, NC; her father: John DaCanal of St. Marys; two brothers: Randy DaCanal (Fran) of St. Marys and Mike DaCanal (Mary) of Johnsonburg; and one sister: Pamela Kasallis (Scott) of Phoenix, AZ.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen DaCanal, last year.

Funeral arrangements will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Mitchell Funeral Home at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
