

He was born in Raleigh, NC on November 16, 1960, the son of the late Cliff and Doris Lee Hobbs. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ruth Hobbs.
Buddy worked as a carpet installer for 25 years. He had a joyful soul and he shared that with everyone that he met. He had a love for Hershey's chocolate, Dt. Mt. Dew, the Carolina Tar Heels and practical jokes. He had a special ability to remember important dates, including birthdays and anniversaries. He was known for being willing and eager to help in any way that he could. He loved going to church, where he served as an usher and a greeter.
He leaves behind his sister, Karen Whitley of Wake Forest, NC, his brother Mark (Alice) of Woodlawn Va. 3 nieces and nephews, 5 great nieces and nephews, and many more friends and family that will continue to cherish his memory. While his presence will be deeply missed, we take comfort in knowing that he is now in the embrace of the Lord.
The family will receive friends at 10 a.m with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 11a.m on February 24th, officiated by Pastor Jim Summerson in the Chapel at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave Raleigh, NC, 27612.
