Constance Kay Wicker, 73, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2016 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Born in Clayton, North Carolina on August 7, 1943, Connie was one of seven children of the late Dockery Gaston Wicker and Heloise Kesler Wicker.
A wonderful daughter, sister, mother and grandmother; she is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Doris "Ann" Wicker Warren and husband Michael, of Wake Forest; by her granddaughter, Melondy McCaul Elder and husband Jason, of Wendell; great-granddaughter: Caelan Elder; sister, Marsha Wilson and husband Jack, of Raleigh; and brother-in-law, Fred Frazier, of Wake Forest.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, by her brothers, Allen, Edward, Robert "Buck" and John Wicker and by a sister, Mary Lou Frazier.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm at Mitchell Funeral Home (7209 Glenwood Ave. in Raleigh). Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 11 am at the funeral home chapel, with burial at Buffalo Cemetery in Sanford, NC at 3 pm.
