
Cordovia D. Richardson passed away peacefully on October 23, 2013 at UniHealth Post Acute Care Raleigh after a lengthy illness. She began life on April 13, 1923 in Alleghany County, North Carolina and was the daughter of the late Luther D. Davis and Lola Wright Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everette L. Richardson, brothers, Lonnie Davis, Alva Davis and sister, Zena Roberts, and granddaughter Tracy Hammers.
She was a loving Mother and Grandmother and loved all children. She is survived by her children, Barbara R. Hammers and husband Bob, and Bill Richardson and wife Fran. She is survived by six grand children, Donna Schneider, Melanie Klein, Rob Hammers, and Amy Richardson, Emily Richardson and Catherine Richardson and ten great grand children.
Cordovia retired as office manager of the Planning Department of the Klopman Division of Burlington Industries after 35 years. She was a life long resident of Greensboro and very active in her community as a Girl Scout leader and Sunday school teacher. She was a founding member of the Cornerstone Southern Baptist Church.
