Cynthia “Cindy” Cameron, 73, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away on October 20, 2026. Her life was marked by unwavering faith, a genuine love for others, plenty of laughter, and meaningful relationships with the many people whose lives she touched.
Born in Raleigh, North Carolina, to the late Charles Clifford Cameron and Yvonne Smith Cameron, Cindy grew up alongside her twin sister, Cathy, her sister, Sherry, and her brother, Randy. The Cameron siblings shared a close bond throughout their lives, with Cindy and Cathy sharing an especially unique connection as twins. Among their fondest childhood memories were the more than ten summers they spent together at Camp Seafarer, where they learned to sail, formed lasting friendships, and created experiences they would cherish for a lifetime. This past summer, Cindy had the special opportunity to return to Camp Seafarer and share the magic of a place she loved so dearly with her sons, Sean and Christopher. Cindy later attended Wingate University, where she formed friendships that lasted a lifetime.
Family held a special place in Cindy’s heart. She was a loving mother to her sons, Sean and Christopher Morris, and was affectionately known as “Cin-Cin” to her four grandchildren, Preston, Peyton, Cameron, and Holden.
Anyone who knew Cindy knew that she never met a stranger. She could strike up a conversation anywhere, but what made her special was her genuine interest in the people she met. She wanted to hear about their families, their lives, and their stories. Whether you had known her for decades or had only just met her, Cindy had a remarkable way of making you feel welcome, valued, and remembered. Her warmth, humor, and love of conversation made it easy for people to feel connected to her.
At the heart of Cindy’s life was her deep and abiding faith in God. She loved the Lord wholeheartedly and spoke openly and naturally about her faith. Her relationship with God was woven into her everyday life, guiding her conversations, her relationships, and the way she connected with others. Her faith was a constant source of strength and comfort throughout her life.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Clifford Cameron and Yvonne Smith Cameron, and her beloved twin sister, Cathy Cameron Sigmon, who passed away on February 1, 2026. Though their family deeply feels the loss of both sisters in the same year, they know through faith that Cindy and Cathy are together again in Heaven.
She is survived by her sons, Sean Morris and Christopher Morris; daughters-in-law, Valerie Morris and Crystal Morris; her grandchildren, Preston, Peyton, Cameron, and Holden Morris; her sister, Sherry Worth; her brother, Randy Cameron; her niece, Logan Sigmon; and her nephew, Daniel “Watts” Sigmon.
Cindy’s greatest legacy is the faith that guided her throughout her life. She loved the Lord wholeheartedly and carried that love into her relationships with family, friends, and everyone she met. Though her absence will be deeply felt, those who loved her rejoice in knowing that she is now in the presence of her Savior and reunited in Heaven with her beloved twin sister, Cathy. The faith she lived so openly, the love she gave so freely, and the joy she brought to others will continue to live on through all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of Cindy’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at Calvary Church, 5801 Pineville–Matthews Road, Charlotte, North Carolina. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m.
