David H. Bowden

David served in the U.S. Airforce for over 6 years and retired as a Staff SGT in National Guard. After the military he began working for the state of NC DOT department and retired after 16 years. David enjoyed golfing, the mountains, the ocean and woodworking. He was a member of the Church of the Good Shepard where he served on many committees.

David was predeceased by his two sisters, Phyllis Parks, and Frances White.

He is survived by his wife LaBelle (Michielangelo) Bowden of Raleigh, 3 sons: Jonny Bowden and his wife Lois of Pleasant Garden, Jeremy Bowden and his wife Kristen of Haw River, and Nathan Bowden and his wife Neva of Graham, step children, Christopher Thomas and Jennifer Mitchell and her husband Joe, 8 grandchildren: Katelyn Mitchell, Johnathan, Nolan, Hailey, Garrett, Nevan, Tanner and Riley Bowden, his brother in law Elliot White, former daughter in law Bonita Bowden, and also many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am Saturday April 29, 2017 at The Church of the Good Shepherd 125 Hillsborough St, Raleigh, NC 27603.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in David’s name to the American Cancer Society.
