

He was born in Kalamazoo, MI on July 29, 1942 to the late John and Myrtle Nisbet. He attended high school in Kalamazoo and went on to graduate from Western Michigan University with a degree in Mortuary Science.
Dave worked for 23 years as a corrections counselor for the Federal Bureau of Prisons until he retired in 1992, spending a majority of that time at the facility located in Hopewell, VA. He then went on to start his own business, Dip and Swim Pool Co.which he ran for over 10 years before relocating to NC to be closer to his daughters and grandchildren.
Dave loved beach music and enjoyed shag dancing. He also was a restorer and collector of antiques, especially cars. Dave could also make a mean pot of chili.
A memorial gathering will be held 2:00-4:00 pm Sunday, April 28, 2013 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 300 St. Mary's Street, Raleigh, NC 27605. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Raleigh Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Hospice of Wake County.
