Deborah Gail Sasser

Debbie was born in Wil¬liamson, WVA on October 4, 1948. She was the only child of George and Irene Phillips. She grew up in Williamson with her parents and extended family of cousins, aunts and uncles.

She was educated in public schools. Debbie was a member of Williamson Wesleyan Church and also a Sunday school teacher. She was the owner and operator of Glamour Beauty shop in West Virginia.

She married David Sasser and moved to Raleigh in 1980. She became a loving wife and mother to her children. Before her retirement, her career opportunities included being a manager for several furniture stores in Raleigh and Charlotte. She was a member of Crabtree Valley Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, David Sasser, son, Brad Sasser and step-children; Carolyn and husband, Danny Bost, Stephanie Sasser, and Donnie Sasser, aunt, Lynette Helms and husband, Jerry, and 8 grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glen¬wood Ave., Raleigh. Burial will immediately follow at Raleigh Memorial Park. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.MitchellatRMP.com
