Denise was born April 24, 1963 in Germany to Carol DeLorme Carter and Arthur Paul Carter. She was a graduate of Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. It was here that she met her husband, Jeffrey D. Huntwork. They celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this past August.
Denise was employed for over 33 years with the Greenwich Bay Trading Company, serving in several capacities. Her formal position was a Sales Manager but she was truly the glue that held everything together. Her dedication reached to many small businesses across the entire United States, a legacy that she was unbelievably proud of.
Denise was an adventurous spirit – enjoying the beach, the outdoors, traveling to new places and cooking new things. She took pictures of everything so she could treasure every moment and she made the most of every day.
In addition to her husband Jeffrey, Denise is survived by her mother, Carol Carter; her children, Christina Huntwork, and her partner, Andy, of Orlando, FL, and Austin Huntwork, and his wife, Betina, of Durham, NC; brother, Jeff Carter, and his wife, Erika; sisters, Wendy Carter, and her wife, Conni, and Debbie Johnston, and her husband, Jerry, all of Texas; and her cherished nephews, Jeremy, Joshua, Michael, Dylan, Hayden and Colton. Denise will also be missed
dearly by her mother-in-law, Carol Huntwork, father-in-law, Phillip Huntwork, and brother-in-law, John Coppersmith.
A Celebration of Denise’s life is being arranged, with a date, time and place to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, the Huntwork family requests donations be made to organizations that Denise felt very passionate about: The Susan G. Komen Foundation and the Girl Scouts of the USA, by using the links below, under 'Donations'.
