Dorothy "Dot" B. Cooper, 84, formerly of Ridge Road, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Sunrise Assisted Living. Born on April 27, 1927 in Wake County; she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Flossie Jones Bailey.
Dot retired as an executive administrator for the NC Superior Court judges. Together with her husband, she was a life-long member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Her husband and true-life companion of 58 years, Jerry B. Cooper, several nieces and nephews including Sandra Rodden of Carolina Beach, NC, who served as her Guardian, survive her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
Graveside Funeral Rites will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Montlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her memory may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church, 8304 Leesville Road - Raleigh, NC 27613.
