Edward "Ed" Norris, of Cary, North Carolina, passed away on October 26, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on January 2, 1940 in Johnston County, North Carolina; he was the son of the late Arthur Norris and Viola Lee Norris. Ed retired as a Supervisor of Public Works at North Carolina State University.
He is survived by his wife: Mary "Mimi" Moore Norris; son-in-law: Joe Blanchard (Kristine); sisters: Edna Joyce Norris and Betty Jean Bledsoe (Laverne); nephews: Ricky Norris and Mark Bledsoe (Sharon); and by other extended family and friends, including the numerous children, and their parents, that Mimi and Ed cared for over the years.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents; daughter: Rhonda Norris Blanchard; and brothers: Lee Norris and Lenward Norris.
