Edythe Springer Canton, 91, formerly of St. Louis Park, MN, died peacefully on November 24, 2010 at Rex Rehab and Nursing Center after a brief decline in her health. Born on December 31, 1918 in Wyndmere, North Dakota; she was the daughter of Herbert George and Elda Gabriel Springer.
Previously she was a resident of The Heritage of Raleigh for 10 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Kenneth P. Canton.
She is survived by their four children and spouses: Sandra and Bill Kerwin, of Raleigh, Patricia and Ron Lorentzen, of Baltimore, MD, Kip and Tracey Canton, of Sarasota, FL and John and Mary Canton, of Minneapolis, MN and by five grandchildren: Stacey Regan, of Raleigh, Bill Kerwin, of Seattle, WA, Ryan, Matt and Zack Canton, of Minneapolis, MN. Great-grandchildren: Julia and Jackson Regan, of Raleigh and Quinn and Ruby Kerwin, of Seattle will grow up with precious memories of “GiGi”.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
