Elaine Anderson Motley

Elaine A Motley, 85, of Raleigh passed away peacefully on Friday, February 10. She was surrounded by family and loved ones in her last days. She joins her beloved late husband, Charles, who preceded her in 2014. Elaine was born in Asheville, attended Lee H Edwards High School before becoming a Demon Deacon at Wake Forest. She was a career School Teacher, retiring from Ravenscroft School. Elaine and Charles were active in the Wake County Shrine Club, Sunday School at Benson Memorial United Methodist Church and enjoyed fishing and travel in their retirement. Cooking and fussing for family holiday gatherings were a passion and a special joy for her large extended family and circle of friends and favorite neighbors. A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Benson Memorial United Methodist Church followed by entombment at Raleigh Memorial Park.
