Eleanor Snow Chadwick

At age 12, she took on the role of second mother to her brother "Charlie" after her mother died during child birth. Anyone that knew Eleanor and Charlie knew what a special relationship they always had. She attended New Hanover High School and later met William L. Chadwick, Sr. In October of 1946, they married at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wilmington, NC. Together they raised two children. Eleanor retired from NCSU after many years of service. She was a big Wolfpack fan.

Eleanor is survived by sons, William L. Chadwick, Jr. and wife, Doncella of Durham and Robert B. Chadwick and wife, Karen of Wilmington, siblings, Charles E. Snow of Wilmington, John D. Snow of Biloxi, MS and G. Clifford Snow of Wilmington, three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by, parents, Harry and Daisy Snow, spouse, William L. Chadwick, Sr. and siblings, Sarah S. King and Harry F. Snow, Jr.

A memorial service is scheduled for September 18, 2021 at 2:00 pm at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wilmington, NC.
