Liz was one of my favorite people ever. She always had a smile and a funny comment every time I saw her at church. Her fashion sense was so unique and beautiful. I used to kid her that she was wearing her slip and forgot her skirt!
I was in the. Home of Luz and Bill many times. This home was a piece of art! Liz has such an eye for the unusual and saw the beauty in just about anything. I noticed that her daughter, Elizabeth, inherited that artistic eye.
Ah, i will miss Liz so much. When she and Bill could not come back to church very often, I felt the loss greatly.
Enjoy your life eternal with Bill, Liz. You made so many lives richer!

Liz and Bill were some of the very first people we met at St Paul’s Christian Church. We were truly blessed to have known them for 15 years. They were the sweetest couple who always made you feel so good each time you saw them. Our friendship became closer over the years and we looked up to them as surrogate parents since we had lost all of our parents prior to 2006. I will always remember Liz’s spirited personality and how it immediately energized you. She always gave us a big hug everytime she saw us. I believe God gives us special people in our lives as a gift. We were truly blessed to have had Liz and Bill share a part of our life for the past 15 years. Your true love for one another and others was an example we all should follow especially at this time in our world when sharing love with others is needed now more than ever. God has reunited you as true soulmates. We will miss you here on earth but know one day we will see you again.
God Bless and Love

She taught me a lot but a few things stand out. Be yourself and don't change your beliefs to suit the crowd. Originality is underated. Speak your mind and you will always be surrounded by people that truly care for you. Never conform to suit the crowd. She was one of a kind and will always be missed. I was so lucky. Even when her memory was failing I never had a conversation with her that she did not remind me how much she adored and loved the house I designed and build just for her and her art. Love you forever mom 💓

My family loved the Rouse family and we were blessed to have had such wonderful life long friends. My father, Walter Lee Horton, Jr., shared office space with Bill Rouse for many years. They were the best of friends. Liz and my mother spent much time together when they were younger. My heart goes out to you, Elizabeth, Bill and Isabel. They are now together and basking in their eternal love!

Elizabeth and Bill and I were childhood friends. Mr. and Mrs. Rouse (Bill and Liz) were the best friends and neighbors ever to my parents. We lived just down the street. If my mom needed to run errands without me, I got to go visit Elizabeth and Bill at their house. If we had the chicken pox, we shared. If we had the mumps, we shared. Their home with their dog Sherlock was a comfort zone, We were all so blessed to have each other. It's hard to imagine a world without Bill and Liz Rouse. I love you guys!!
