I was fortunate enough to have known Betty and Ben for over 20 years. Betty was incredibly intelligent and creative. Having seen her recreation early Americana needlework from Roanoke and Jamestown, her attention to detail and artistry were remarkable. I always found conversations with her to be intellectually challenging and delightful. Ben was an extremely kind and gentle soul while Betty was a force to be reckoned with and respected. They are both missed very much.
