Survivors include her sister, Laura Nesbit Holland, who loved her dearly, and many cousins on both the Holland and Kiser sides. Her mother, Laura Elizabeth Kiser Holland, and father, Leon Holland, predeceased her.
Libby attended Sanderson High School, St. Mary's High School and UNC-Greensboro. After college, Libby was a financial secretary at White Memorial Presbyterian Church (Raleigh), an accountant at Parrish and Jeffries CPA firm (Cary) and later an accountant at WakeMed Hospital (Raleigh).
Following God's call, Libby changed her vocation to nursing, attending Wake Tech Community College and finishing at Presbyterian Nursing School (Charlotte). After graduation, she returned as a registered nurse to WakeMed Hospital (Raleigh), specializing in spinal cord rehab, brain injuries, and lastly to the cardiology unit, where she served for many years until retirement.
Libby was known for her kind and generous spirit, always putting others before herself. She enjoyed spending quality time with friends, music, art, movies and going to the beach. Libby was very close to her younger sister, Laura, sharing laughter and many fun, happy times together as children and adults. She was a gentle soul, who loved Jesus dearly. She will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held at White Memorial Presbyterian Church at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 2, 2023. Visitation with the family after the memorial service will be in the Jane Bell Gathering Space.
